The APC Presidential Campaign Council says its 2027 campaign will focus on the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration rather than attacks on political opponents.
Director-General of the Campaign Council, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, disclosed this in Gusau, Zamfara State, after a closed-door meeting with Governor Dauda Lawal and traditional leaders.
Yari said the campaign would be issue-based and would highlight what the APC-led government had achieved since taking office.
He said the campaign would not focus on making fresh promises but on presenting the administration’s record to Nigerians.
Yari also noted that Nigeria had survived several difficult periods that raised concerns about its continued existence as a united country.
The former Zamfara governor affirmed that his first official engagement as campaign council DG was with traditional leaders because of their closeness to the people and influence in society.
Speaking with journalists in Gusau shortly after a closed door meeting, Governor Dauda Lawal said the meeting was organised to formally present Yari to the traditional rulers following his appointment as campaign council DG.
Lawal also assured the APC Presidential Campaign Council that President Tinubu would receive 100 per cent support from Zamfara State in the 2027 election.
