The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has officially renamed the Abuja International Conference Centre in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the newly renovated facility on Tuesday, Wike announced that the centre will now be known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.

He described the upgraded structure as a “world-class edifice” and underscored the importance of consistent maintenance to preserve its standard.

Wike also disclosed a new policy requiring all users of the centre—regardless of their social or political status—to pay for its use, signalling a shift towards more sustainable facility management.

President Tinubu was in attendance at the event, which marked the formal unveiling of the renamed and upgraded landmark.
