The Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria is set to hold its maiden International Diplomatic and Security Conference in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The high-level event will explore Nigeria’s foreign policy direction in the face of growing global instability.
It will focus on the country’s 4Ds Strategy Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora and how diplomacy, intelligence, and the media can shape national and global stability.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the event, which will take place in Abuja.
Participants will include former presidents, governors, lawmakers, security chiefs, diplomats, and academics.
The panel session will feature top officials including the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, the National Security Adviser, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, the Chief of Defence Staff, and Professor Sheriff Ghali of the University of Abuja.
A key focus will be the growing threat of disinformation and foreign information manipulation, a concern that organisers say is increasingly shaping global diplomacy and national security.
