Speaker Abbas Tajudeen celebrate Nigerian Teen Girls for Winning Global Debate and English Skills Championship in London

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has applauded three Nigerian teenagers, Nafisa Abdullahi-Aminu, Rukayya Muhammad-Fema, and Hadiza Kashim-Kalli, for emerging world champions in English language communication and debate.

The trio achieved this remarkable feat at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition held in London, United Kingdom, bringing pride and global recognition to Nigeria.

Seventeen-year-old Nafisa clinched the overall best in English language skills, 15-year-old Rukayya was named the best debater, while Hadiza was honoured with the Outstanding Talent Award (Gold Medal)

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, on Wednesday, Speaker Abbas described the trio as “super talents” who have brought immense pride to Nigeria.

He commended their brilliance, noting that with the right environment and opportunities, Nigerians will continue to break barriers and excel on the global stage.

The Speaker emphasized that their sterling performance adds to Nigeria’s recent global triumphs, following the D’Tigress’ victory at the 2025 FIBA Afrobasket and the Super Falcons’ WAFCON championship win.

These feats, according to him, further reinforce his belief in the potential of the Nigerian girl-child and bolster his advocacy for gender inclusion in politics and governance.

Reiterating his commitment to educational development, Speaker Abbas underscored the importance of investing in basic education as the bedrock for nurturing the talents of young Nigerians.

While congratulating Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza on their remarkable achievements, the Speaker called for greater recognition and celebration of academic excellence.

He urged for the establishment of a reward system to honour Nigerians who project a positive image of the country on the global stage.
