The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the 2027 general election will be decided by the current realities of hunger, deprivation, and insecurity in Nigeria.

Speaking in Abuja during a media briefing on the party’s recent developments, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, said Nigerians would ultimately decide based on their daily experiences.

Commenting on the recent bye elections in which the party secured only one seat, Ologunagba insisted that such results should not be used as a yardstick to judge the PDP’s strength ahead of the next general election.

The spokesperson noted that the party is intensifying preparations for its national convention scheduled for November in Oyo State, stressing that the PDP will emerge stronger and more united after the exercise.

Ologunagba further emphasized that all activities within the party are being conducted in line with due process, as part of efforts to reposition the PDP for electoral success in 2027.
