The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) says the 2025 Easter Pilgrimage exercise will officially commence on September 14 in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Executive Secretary of the Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, disclosed this during a thanksgiving to mark his 57th birthday celebration organised by the management and staff of the Commission in Abuja.

According to a statement signed by the Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations at NCPC, Celestine Toruka, the Easter Pilgrimage, which had been scheduled to hold earlier in the year, was postponed due to the crisis in the Middle East.

Reflecting on his journey of faith and service spanning 37 years, Bishop Adegbite expressed deep gratitude to God for His faithfulness and described pilgrimage as his life’s passion.

He noted that the NCPC operates as a family, assuring staff that their challenges and successes remain a shared experience.

He further expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, saying despite current difficulties, the country would overcome its challenges and rise to greatness.

The NCPC boss commended President Bola Tinubu, stating that the President is “on the right track,” while also appreciating the support of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and other national leaders.

The birthday celebration, attended by management and staff, featured tributes to Bishop Adegbite for his leadership, vision, and dedication to strengthening Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.
