The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Electoral Committee has cleared 16 candidates to contest in the forthcoming 2025 NCF Board elections, while disqualifying three others for failing to meet the submission deadline.

According to the Committee, the screening exercise was conducted in line with the Federation’s electoral guidelines ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

At the AGM, elections into various board positions will be held. The elections for Players’ and Technical Representatives have been scheduled for September 19, while polls for Zonal Representatives, President, and Vice President will take place on September 20, 2025.

The cleared candidates include: Uyiosa Akpata, Olawale Obalola, Mariam Suleiman, Usman Ladan, Oludare Aimola, Olufemi John, Chika Okoro, Tayo Atoloye, Musa Sule Jarmai, Usman Danjuma, Zainab Ishiaku, Usman Musa Yali, Olumide Akintokun, Endurance Ofem, Chuma Anosike, and Monica Wuballa. However, the Committee confirmed that three aspirants — Emeka Onyeama, Pakribo Telema Darego, and Chimezie Onwuzilike — were deemed ineligible after submitting their forms beyond the deadline of midnight, September 10.

The Electoral Committee further reminded all cleared candidates to submit written manifestos clearly outlining their vision, objectives, and strategic plans for the development of Nigerian cricket over the next four years, in compliance with the Federation’s electoral guidelines.

The Committee emphasized its commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, and credible electoral process.
