It was a day of tributes, reflection, and celebration in Abuja as dignitaries from across Nigeria gathered to honour Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), on his 60th birthday.
The event went beyond personal accolades, to a national conversation on leadership, governance, and institutional reform.
Two new books authored by Professor Sulaiman were unveiled, spotlighting his transformational leadership and lifelong commitment to democratic development and good governance in Nigeria.
Speakers at the event praised his dedication to strengthening legislative capacity and promoting accountability in public institutions, describing him as a visionary scholar whose ideas continue to shape national policy directions.
