Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim has officially assumed office as the 12th Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO) of Navy Holdings Limited (NHL).

The development is according to a statement signed by, Group Public Relations and Information Officer, Navy Holdings Limited, Commander Abdulsalam Sani.

The formal handing-over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming chief executives took place on Friday, marking a significant leadership transition within the Nigerian Navy’s investment arm.

The outgoing GMD/CEO, Rear Admiral Zakariya Shaku Muhammad, handed over the mantle of leadership to Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim after a successful tenure marked by strategic growth and operational improvements.

In his farewell address, Rear Admiral Zakariya Muhammad highlighted key achievements, including enhanced efficiency, portfolio expansion, and strengthened corporate governance structures.

He thanked the Board, management, staff of NHL for their support and urged the incoming GMD/CEO to build on the progress made.

Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim during his inaugural remarks, expressed deep appreciation to the Chief of Naval Staff for the confidence reposed in him.

He commended his predecessor’s visionary leadership and pledged to consolidate on the achievements recorded while driving innovation, growth, and diversification across NHL subsidiaries.

The event was attended by Managing Directors and Chief Executives of NHL subsidiaries, senior naval officers, and other distinguished guests.
