The Bauchi State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across the state, including federal and private schools, following escalating security threats.

A statement from the Ministry of Education, signed by Information and Public Relations Officer Jalaludeen Usman, said the decision came after extensive consultations and stressed that the safety of students, teachers, and school communities remains the government’s top priority.

“However, the protection of our children remains our highest moral responsibility. Every student in Bauchi State deserves to learn in an environment that is safe, stable, and free of fear,” the statement said.

Parents, guardians, and school proprietors were urged to remain calm and cooperative. Authorities confirmed that they are working closely with security agencies to address the threats and ensure academic activities can safely resume.

The government also called on citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly to protect communities. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
