Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has extended Christmas greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to pray for a national rebirth as the country grapples with socio-economic and security challenges.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker says the Christmas season offers an opportunity for Nigerians to seek divine intervention for a better future.

Speaker Abbas called for a renewed sense of unity among Nigerians, stressing that national rebirth must be a collective effort involving Christians, Muslims, and adherents of other faiths.

He noted that the birth and life of Jesus Christ reflect values such as humility, compassion, courage, holiness, and devotion to God, urging Christians to live by these virtues beyond the festive season.

While wishing Christians a joyful Christmas celebration, the Speaker appealed for moderation, love, and generosity, particularly towards the less privileged, as Nigerians mark the Yuletide
