The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has recorded a significant improvement in the 2025 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard (EICS) released by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

According to a statement issued in Abuja by the Chairman of the NSITF Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), Josephine Oamenmade, the Fund’s EICS score rose from 59.0 in 2024 to 71.3 in 2025.

The improved score also translated into a major leap in national ranking, with the NSITF moving from 186th position in 2024 to 42nd out of the 357 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) assessed by the ICPC this year, surpassing more than 140 MDAs.

“We are proud to announce our exceptional performance in the 2025 ICPC Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard. We have moved from 186th to 42nd position nationwide out of 357 MDAs,” the statement said.

The statement further disclosed that the NSITF Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit also recorded progress in the ACTU Effectiveness Index (AEI), improving its ranking from 76th position in the previous year to 47th in 2025, with a score of 64.0.

The EICS is an annual assessment tool used by the ICPC to evaluate the level of compliance of government MDAs with ethical standards, transparency requirements and anti-corruption regulations.

The NSITF-ACTU attributed the gains to what it described as improved institutional commitment to accountability and ethical conduct under the current management.

The statement commended the leadership of the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Fund, Barrister Olúwaṣeun Faleye, as well as the management team and staff, for their roles in achieving the improved performance.

It also urged staff of the Fund to sustain the momentum by continuing to uphold ethical standards and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
