The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has expressed optimism that Nigeria will experience peace and prosperity in the New Year.

In a New Year message signed by the Commission’s spokesman, Celestine Toruka, Bishop Adegbite said he believes that God will bring positive transformation to the country, declaring that “the Lord will do a new thing for Nigeria, and everyone will see it and rejoice.”

He stressed that peace remains the foundation for national development, noting that without peace, meaningful progress cannot be achieved. According to him, sustained peace across the country will pave the way for prosperity and growth, adding that Nigeria will continue to move “forward ever, backward never.”

The NCPC boss called on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu and his administration, urging citizens to support the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda for the overall good of the nation.

He disclosed that the first batch of Christian pilgrims currently in the Holy Land are already praying for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.

Bishop Adegbite also extended New Year greetings to President Tinubu, the Vice President, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, and Nigerians at large, wishing them a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
