The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially unveiled its logo, marking the formal transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) following the enactment of the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act, 2025.

The unveiling ceremony, held on Wednesday in Abuja, comes months after President Bola Tinubu signed the enabling law in June 2025, paving way for a unified revenue administration framework.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, described the unveiling of the new institutional identity as a major milestone in Nigeria’s revenue reform journey.

“This logo and the broader NRS brand identity represent an important moment in the evolution of Nigeria’s revenue administration framework,” Adedeji said.

He explained that the new identity reflects a renewed emphasis on efficiency, improved service delivery and national development, stressing that the reform goes beyond a mere change of name or symbol.

“The unveiling of the NRS identity reflects a renewed commitment to a more unified, efficient and service-oriented revenue system aligned with Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda and global best practices,” he said.

Adedeji noted that the transition from FIRS to NRS represents continuity rather than disruption, assuring taxpayers of a stronger institutional capacity to support both citizens and government objectives.

“This new identity signals continuity of purpose, strengthened institutional capacity and a forward-looking approach to supporting taxpayers and national development,” he noted.

He further reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to accountability and public trust, describing the unveiling as the beginning of a stronger relationship between the revenue authority and Nigerians.

“The Nigeria Revenue Service remains committed to transparency, partnership and service excellence.

This unveiling marks the beginning of a renewed relationship with the public, built on trust, clarity and shared prosperity,” Adedeji said.

The transition to the Nigeria Revenue Service is expected to improve coordination across revenue streams, enhance the taxpayer experience and support the Federal Government’s broader fiscal reform agenda.
