Day 2 of the 2025 Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Super Cup delivered commanding performances and high-intensity matchups at the nation’s capital, with Nigeria Customs Service and CNS Spikers emerging as the standout teams in both the men’s and women’s categories.

In the women’s event, defending powerhouse Nigeria Customs Service overwhelmed Fire Service in a ruthless straight-sets victory, winning 25-10, 25-11, 25-20.

Customs set the tone early with clinical attacks and a disciplined defensive setup, leaving their opponents struggling to find rhythm throughout the encounter.

CNS Spikers, however, had to dig deep to secure a 3-1 win over Vipers VC in one of the most competitive matches of the day.

After dropping the first set 22-25, CNS rallied impressively, showcasing resilience and tactical superiority to take the next three sets 25-23, 25-18, 25-12. The turnaround highlighted their championship mentality and ability to respond under pressure.

The men’s competition mirrored the same dominance.

CNS Spikers brushed aside Ajase Ipo in straight sets, winning 25-21, 25-10, 25-17.

Their balanced play, sharp serving, and cohesive teamwork proved too much for Ajase Ipo, who struggled to contain the relentless offensive bursts.

Nigeria Customs Service completed a perfect day for the organization with another commanding 3-0 victory, this time against Defence Spikers. Despite brief resistance—particularly in a tightly contested second set that ended 27-25—Customs maintained composure to close out the match 25-20, 27-25, 25-20.

With back-to-back statements from the top contenders, the Super Cup is rapidly shaping into a fierce battle for supremacy.

The early results have not only underscored the depth of talent in Nigerian volleyball but also set the stage for even more thrilling clashes as teams intensify their pursuit of silverware in Abuja.
