By Zainab Bakare

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has taken delivery of two ambulifts for deployment at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to assist passengers with reduced mobility.

FAAN disclosed this in a statement shared on its official X handle on Thursday.

The authority said the ambulifts would assist passengers who require additional support when boarding or disembarking from aircraft.

According to FAAN, the equipment will provide safe, dignified and efficient assistance to passengers with mobility limitations throughout their journey.

FAAN’s Director of Airport Operations, Capt. Abdullahi Mahmood, handed over the keys to the two ambulifts to NACHO Aviation Services, which will oversee their deployment and operation.

The authority said the initiative is part of its efforts to improve passenger facilitation services and enhance the overall travel experience at the airport.
