Norrenberger Group Says President Tinubu’s Reforms Are Paying Off.

Economic outlook for the second half of 2024 shows that ongoing reforms by the President Tinubu led government are beginning to yield results as seen with cases of improved trade balance, Increased FAAC allocations, Surge in Capital imports, Increased Foreign Reserves and Exchange rate convergence.

This is according to the Norrenberger group, which also admitted that the reforms left Nigerians with High prices, Insecurity, Increased poverty, Depreciating currencies and High cases of divestments.

Speaking during a webinar to unveil the 2024 Norrenberger Economic Outlook; Nigeria beyond reforms, the Business head, Norrenberger asset management, Pabina Yinkere, however stressed the need for the government to do more in strengthening the nation’s business environment.

According to Yinkere, its projections show that by December 2024, Inflation rate would drop to the best case of 20.71 percent, foreign exchange rate would be one thousand one hundred Naira, amongst others.

Earlier in his welcome remarks the Group Managing Director, Tony Edeh said the outlook is expected to amongst other things aid Nigerians in their financial investment decisions.

Correspondent Oluwakemi Kindness who monitored the webinar reports the D.G of the Security and Exchange Commission as saying the outlook would serve as a springboard for growth in the economy.

The National Committee for Family Farming (NCFF) Nigeria has urged investment in family farming in order to achieve food self-sufficiency and tackle the menace of hunger in Nigeria.

The National Coordinator, NCFF Nigeria, Raymond Enoch made the appeal in Abuja on Thursday at the National Congress of the organization tagged, “Advancing Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Security through Family Farming for a Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.”

Enoch noted that the NCFF is building momentum towards advancing yet another milestone in promoting sustainable Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Security.

He defined family farming as a term which applies to organizing agricultural, forestry, fisheries, pastoral and aquaculture production that is managed and operated by a family who predominantly relies on family labor.

According to him, the family and the farm are linked and they co-evolve and combine economic, environmental, reproductive, social and cultural functions for the purpose of food production and consumption.

He therefore urged all relevant stakeholders and Nigerians to key into the initiative to tackle the menace of hunger, malnutrition that is bedeviling the citizens.
