President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the family of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
In a statement, the President describes the deceased as a renown businessman and politician.
President Tinubu commiserates with the friends and colleagues of the late Senator, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Anambra State over the loss.
The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is mourned by Akpabio, who says his passing leaves a vacuum in the National Assembly.
The unexpected death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), has shocked Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON.
Ubah served as the senator for Anambra South in the Upper Chamber until his death.
According to Akpabio’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, in a condolence statement, the senator left a vacuum in the National Assembly and expressed profound regret over his passing.
He called the late Ubah a young democrat with bright and creative ideas and one of the bright spots in our democracy.
“He was a dedicated and trustworthy lawmaker who supported equity.”
In expressing his condolences, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, remarked, “Senator Ifeanyi Uba was a dedicated and passionate legislator whose contributions have left an indelible mark on our nation. His commitment to his constituents and his work in the Senate were exemplary. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.”
