House of Reps to reconvene from recess on September 24

The House of Representatives on Wednesday announced a further shift in the date for it resumption from its annual recess.

The new date now stands at Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 am from the earlier date of September 17, 2024.

A statement by the Spokesman, House of Representatives, representative Akin Rotimi, said the shift follows a rescheduling as communicated to Members via an internal memo by the Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Esq, on Wednesday, on the directive of the House Leadership.

He said upon reconvening, the leadership of the House will inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and the Joint Senate/House Ad Hoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry Investigation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

According to the statement further details regarding these activities will be announced during plenary on the day of resumption.

As the 10th Assembly resumes, it will continue to drive its Legislative Agenda, focusing on impactful reforms aimed at national development and fulfilling its mandate to the Nigerian people.
