Adeleke Predicts Tinubu Support in 2027 Presidential Poll

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, says voters in the state will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election while voting for Accord Party candidates in the National and State Assembly elections.

Adeleke said the arrangement would not confuse voters despite the “Rainbow Coalition” championed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election.

The governor spoke on Thursday in Ede while inaugurating the campaign committee for the re-election of Osun West Senator, Lere Oyewumi. His deputy, Kola Adewusi, represented him at the event.

He urged voters to support the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election and Accord Party candidates in the legislative elections.

Adeleke described Oyewumi, the Senate Deputy Minority Leader, as an effective representative and urged members of the campaign committee to work towards securing his re-election.

He also called on committee members to demonstrate total commitment to the senator’s campaign.

Oyewumi attributed Accord’s growing acceptance in Osun to Adeleke’s leadership and performance, expressing confidence that the governor’s re-election would boost the party’s chances in the 2027 general election.

The senator also pledged to pursue further infrastructure and social development projects, including improved roads, schools, hospitals, access to clean water and solar-powered streetlights.

The campaign committee’s Director-General, Adesoye Oyetunde, highlighted Oyewumi’s achievements, including road construction, classroom projects, healthcare support and the distribution of farm inputs.

Adeleke defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the Accord Party in December 2025. He has maintained his support for Tinubu’s second-term bid despite their parties’ political differences.
