All Stars International has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Vitus Ekoh, fondly known as “Apply,” who passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, after a brief illness.

Late Ekoh was a dedicated member of Capital Sportiff All Stars and an affiliate of All Stars International, Abuja. He actively participated in the ongoing Abuja All Stars International Veterans Invitational Tournament at the main bowl of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

He is survived by his wife and two children and will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 27, 2025, in his hometown of Umushike, Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Reacting to the news, President of All Stars International, Nasir Jibril, expressed heartfelt grief, describing Ekoh’s passing as a great loss to the football community. “Words fail me. Vitus was one of us, and his absence will be deeply felt. I pray for strength and comfort for his wife, children, and loved ones,” he said.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee for the Abuja Veterans Tournament, Coach Bassey Patrick, said the news came as a shock. “We saw him just a few days ago, full of life. His sudden death is devastating to us all. We will continue to pray for his family during this painful time,” he added.
