DG NILDS Congratulates Prof. Attahiru Jega on New Appointment

The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has congratulated the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, on his appointment as Special Adviser to the President on Livestock Reform and Co-Chairman of the Presidential Livestock Committee alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement released on Sunday, March 9, 2025, by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Sulaiman describes Jega’s appointment as a recognition of his visionary leadership and distinguished track record.

“This dual responsibility entrusted to Prof. Jega is a testament to his ability to navigate complex governance challenges with integrity and excellence”.

“His legacy as a seasoned administrator and former Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, speaks volumes about his competence and unwavering commitment to national development,” he stated.

Professor Sulaiman also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for making such a strategic appointment and offered prayers for divine guidance and success in Jega’s new role.
