D’Tigress Star Ezinne Kalu, has sealed a move to Wuhan Shengfan of the Chinese Women’s Basketball Association (WCBA), ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Kalu, a long-serving guard for the national team, D’Tigress, switches to Wuhan after a stellar year with Zhejiang, where she emerged as one of the league’s most reliable performers.

The 33-year-old averaged 21.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals across 33 games in the 2024/25 campaign, underlining her two-way presence on the court.

Her credentials were further burnished in 2025 when she inspired Nigeria to a record-extending fifth consecutive FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title in Ivory Coast.

That triumph, the team’s seventh overall, also booked D’Tigress a place at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.

Renowned for her scoring efficiency, defensive intensity and leadership, Kalu’s arrival is expected to strengthen Wuhan Shengfan’s push for silverware in the new season.
