Easter: Emulate Christ’s Love – Deputy Speaker Kalu

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu has called on Nigerians to embody the selfless love and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ as Easter joy resonates across the nation.

In a statement on Saturday to commemorate the 2025 Easter celebrations, Kalu emphasizes Christ’s teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and kindness, urging citizens to emulate these virtues.

The Deputy Speaker in the statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, says Christ showed the ultimate example of selfless love and sacrifice, adding that His resurrection symbolizes hope and redemption.

Kalu also enjoins the people to pray for Nigeria’s unity, peace, and prosperity, expressing optimism that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration would continue to work tirelessly for the nation’s progress.

He said: “As we celebrate Easter, let us reflect on Christ’s teachings and emulate His love, compassion, and kindness. May this festive period bring Nigerians joy, peace, and unity, and may our nation be blessed with prosperity and stability”.

Kalu wished Nigerians a joyous and blessed Easter which symbolizes hope, redemption, and renewal.
