The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction over the progress of the 30.4-kilometer A2-Pai and Pai-Gomani road projects in Kwali Area Council.

Wike made the remarks during an inspection tour of the road projects on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

The Minister commended the contractors, particularly Zeberced, for the quality of work on the A2-Pai section, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver the project on schedule.

He reiterated the FCT Administration’s commitment to awarding contracts based on demonstrated capacity rather than sentiment.

Wike also noted the progress on the Pai to Gomani section, where the contractor has completed approximately 12 kilometers of earthwork.

He emphasized the importance of completing the earthwork before the rainy season, expressing optimism that the project timeline will be met.

The Minister acknowledged the positive impact the project will have on the community, particularly agrarian communities in the area.

“These are agrarian communities,” Wike explained, adding, “You can imagine those who have their farms here and how happy they will be.”

Wike commended the Chairman of the Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya, the traditional rulers, and the Youth for cooperating with the contractors.

He encouraged continued collaboration to ensure the successful completion of the projects.

Furthermore, Wike announced that numerous projects executed by the FCT Administration are slated for commissioning in May as part of the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“By May, there will be a lot of projects to be commissioned for the second anniversary of Mr. President. That is certain,” he said.
