FCT POLICE COMMAND RESCUE TWO GIRLS FROM KIDNAPPERS

The FCT Police Command’s anti-kidnapping unit says it has rescued two female victims, fifteen year old Mart Ojadi and twelve year old Evelyn Chinaza, who were kidnapped by gunmen in Guto village in the Bwari Area Council of the FCT on June 30, 2024.

This was made known in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the territory, SP Josephine Adeh, on Sunday. Adeh disclosed that the police, in collaboration with DSS officials, tracked the kidnappers to Gauraka Forest in Niger State, and engaged them in a fierce gun battle, forcing the criminals to flee with injuries.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police in the FCT, CP Benneth Igweh confirmed that the victims have since been reunited with their families.
Igweh also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police emergency lines.
