Katsina State government has imposed a twenty-four hours curfew on Dustinma Local Government Area of the state while in the thirty-three other Local Government Areas, its from seven in the evening to seven in the morning.
A statement signed by the Director Press office of the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Aliyu, explained that the State Acting Governor, Faruk Jobe, took the decision after an emergency security council meeting to review the general conduct of the EndBadGovernance protests, which concludes that the protest was violent in some parts of the state and may worsen if left unchecked.
While in Kano, the state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state.
The governor, while addressing journalists at the government house in Kano, said the decision became necessary due to the breakdown of law and order by “unpatriotic citizens who took advantage of the peaceful protests and began to loot property.”
Similarly, the Yobe State Government also imposed a 24-hour curfew on Potiskum, Gashua and Nguru Local Government Areas after the looting of government property.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Dahiru Abdussallam, said in a statement that security agencies have been directed to ensure enforcement and full compliance with the order.
AND from Nasarawa state, the governor imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Karu Local Government Area (LGA) of the State after the #EndBadGovernance protests turned violent.

The Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, James Thomas, after due consideration, imposed a curfew across Karu LGA from 6 pm to 6 am until further notice.
This was following the destruction, looting, stealing, highway blockade, and vandalism that trailed the demonstration in the Mararaba area, the border between Nasarawa State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Meanwhile, Borno State Government had relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed in the state to 12noon till 3pm.

No fewer than 14 protesters, including a policeman, yesterday lost their lives on the first day of the protest against hardship in the country.
