Foundation Saves Abuja Students From Missing National Exams

Some students who recently completed their final year at Government Secondary School Nyanya Gwandara in Abuja have received a lifeline after financial hardship nearly prevented them from sitting key national examinations.

They were unable to register for exams conducted by West African Examinations Council, National Examinations Council, or National Business and Technical Examinations Board due to the economic challenges facing their families.

Among those affected were twins Hussein and Husseina, whose widowed mother struggled to afford the required fees.Relief came when the Vivian Bello Foundation intervened, committing funds to enable the students enroll for and sit the upcoming 2026 technical certification examinations under NABTEB.

Photographs taken during the foundation’s visit show the visibly elated students alongside their principal, posing with a representative of the organization who met them at the school to confirm the support.

According to the foundation, the intervention is part of its broader mission to provide educational assistance to underprivileged children, helping them pursue their ambitions and develop their potential to contribute meaningfully to society.

School officials and beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a significant boost for students whose academic progression had been uncertain without external support.
