The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, has commended President Bola Tinubu for the 2026 Appropriation Bill.
He described the budget as people-centred and responsive to the pressing needs of Nigerians, particularly in the critical areas of security and road infrastructure.
“The significant budgetary allocation to security reflects the President’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the country, stressing that no meaningful development can be achieved without a secure environment. Improved security will enhance economic activities, boost investor confidence, and promote national stability,” Goronyo said.
He further praised the strong emphasis on road infrastructure, noting it will ease transportation challenges and improve access to markets and services.
The Minister emphasized that the combined focus on security, road infrastructure, economic reforms, and human capital development will alleviate hardship, create jobs, and improve Nigerians’ quality of life.
“These priorities will create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and improve the overall quality of life of Nigerians,” he added.
The Minister maintained that the Ministry remain committed to implementing approved road projects in the 2026 budget, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Goronyo called for stakeholder support to ensure timely project delivery nationwide.
