The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reiterate his commitment to strengthening intelligence-led policing through the adoption of cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships.
Speaking during an inspection of advanced intelligence installations at Idu Community in Abuja, the IGP emphasizes that *“intelligence gathering remains the bedrock of effective policing in the 21st century.”*
According to a statement by the force public relations officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, the IGP assures that under his leadership, the Nigeria Police Force will continue to harness technology, innovation, and indigenous expertise to stay ahead of emerging security threats.
The visit, which also involved senior police chiefs including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Intelligence), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), formed part of the Force’s strategic engagement with local security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a Nigerian-owned security solutions provider.
IGP Egbetokun commends the expertise of EIB STRATOC and notes that such collaborations will not only boost the operational capabilities of the Police but also foster stronger community trust and deepen synergy with critical stakeholders in the security sector.
He further calls on other indigenous experts and Nigerians at large to support security agencies in driving innovation and technology-based intelligence gathering for a safer nation.
