The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has condemned the recent killings in Kwara, Katsina and Benue states, describing the attacks as senseless, barbaric and unacceptable.
In a statement on Thursday, Kalu expresses deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction of property caused by the violent incidents. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the affected communities.

The statement by Udora Orizu, Special Adviser on Press Affairs, quotes the Deputy Speaker as calling on security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering and adopt decisive measures to track down and bring the perpetrators to justice.
He noted that President Bola Tinubu, alongside the National Assembly, has continued to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary support to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
Kalu also urged community leaders and residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent further attacks.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and for peace to return to the affected areas.
