Speaker Abbas calls on Muslims to live by Prophet Muhammad’s example during Mawlud celebration.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of Mawlud al-Nabī, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), with a call to emulate his virtues and intensify prayers for Nigeria and its leaders.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, on Friday in Abuja, Abbas described Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as the embodiment of holiness, discipline, forthrightness, and service to Allah and humanity.

He noted that the Prophet’s teachings remain a guide for peace, love, charity, and good governance.

The Speaker stressed that despite Nigeria’s socioeconomic challenges, the country has the potential to attain prosperity if both leaders and citizens embrace the God-given principles espoused by the Prophet (SAW).

He further urged Muslims across the country to sustain prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and progress, while also rallying support for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders at all levels.

“Prophet Muhammad (SAW) preached respect and prayers for constituted authorities. I urge Muslims to uphold these values and continue to live by his example,” the statement quoted Abbas as saying.
