The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Darma, says voters in Katsina State are backing President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 election, insisting that their votes are “non-negotiable.”
Darma spoke on Sunday during the inauguration of the Arewa for Asiwaju Group, known as A4A, in Katsina State.
The minister, who inaugurated the Katsina State coordinating committee of the group, said A4A was established to mobilise support for Tinubu’s administration and communicate its achievements and interventions to people across Northern Nigeria.
According to him, the initiative was conceived by prominent Nigerians, including the National Security Adviser, former governors, ministers and former government officials.
“This group has the responsibility of coordinating and documenting the Federal Government’s projects and interventions across Northern Nigeria,” Darma said.
He said the group would also work with the Office for the Coordination of Northern Projects to communicate the Federal Government’s interventions in the region to residents.
“The major aim of Arewa for Asiwaju is that there is a government office called the Office for the Coordination of Northern Projects of this government.
“So that office has the specific task of putting together what this government did to Northern Nigeria.
“Now that office also felt it wise that it’s not only to coordinate the activities of the government in Northern Nigeria, but to also pull out an organisation that will go to all parts of Northern Nigeria and mention to the people of Northern Nigeria what this government did to Northern Nigeria, and our votes only meant for him,” he said.
