The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has urged Christians to reflect the virtues of humility, love and peace during the Christmas season.

In a Christmas message issued in Abuja on Wednesday and signed by the Commission’s spokesman, Celestine Toruka, Adegbite says the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises humility and service.

He noted that Christ’s humble beginnings were meant to elevate the poor and discourage pride and arrogance among believers.

He encouraged Christians to use the season to promote love and fellowship, including reaching out to people of other faiths, describing Christmas as a period marked by grace, joy and peace.

The NCPC chief also called on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, seeking divine guidance for national leadership.

Expressing optimism about the country’s future, Adegbite says Nigeria would overcome its current challenges, adding that prayer remains a key source of national strength.

He wished Christians a peaceful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year.
