The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has intensified its efforts to instill integrity and accountability within its workforce by partnering with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to sensitize staff on anti-corruption and ethical conduct.

The initiative was unveiled in Abuja during a sensitization and public awareness workshop held on Wednesday at the NCPC Conference Hall in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to promoting justice, honesty, and transparency in line with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of building a nation rooted in righteousness and the fear of God.

“NCPC will do everything possible to ensure the manifestation of this national aspiration,” Bishop Adegbite said, stressing that corruption undermines good governance and erodes public trust. He urged staff to embrace the Commission’s corporate slogan, Service and Satisfaction, and resist corrupt practices.

The Executive Secretary also noted that the ICPC-led sensitization would equip staff with the knowledge and moral responsibility needed to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Representing the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu, at the event, Mr. Olusegun Adigun, Director of Systems Study and Review, commended NCPC for supporting the establishment of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) within the Commission.

He highlighted corruption as a major obstacle to national development and urged NCPC management to continue empowering ACTU with resources and institutional backing, noting that its success depends on collective efforts and collaboration.

The workshop featured presentations by ICPC resource persons on Entrenching Ethics and Integrity in the Workplace and Public Sector Corruption: Nature and Consequences.
