Nigeria Congratulates Greece on Independence Day

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, His Excellency Giorgos Gerapetritis, on the occasion of Greece’s Independence Day Anniversary.

In a statement released by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Ambassador Tuggar emphasized Nigeria’s appreciation for Greece’s rich history, cultural heritage, and longstanding democratic values.

He reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations in key sectors, including trade, maritime security, tourism, and cultural exchange.

“As we celebrate this significant milestone with Greece, Nigeria values the strong ties between our nations and remains dedicated to fostering deeper cooperation in the spirit of friendship and shared prosperity,” the statement read.

The Minister added that Nigeria joins in celebrating the historic occasion and extends its best wishes to the government and people of Greece for continued peace, progress, and prosperity.
