The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, has expressed his condolences to the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, on the passing of his mother, Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.
According to a statement by his media adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Sulaiman describs the late Hawawu as a virtuous woman who lived an impactful life devoted to the service of God and humanity.
He encourages the Olofa and the Gbadamosi family to take solace in her fulfilled life, noting that her passing at the age of 94 is a divine transition every soul must eventually undergo.
Meanwhile, Professor Sulaiman has mourned the death of Representative Ibrahim Bio Jafar, a former member of the 4th Kwara State House of Assembly, representing the Okuta/Yashikira constituency, who passed away on Sunday, April 6.
He describes Jafar as a dependable, and resourceful grassroots politician whose death has created a vacuum in the political structure of Kwara State.
“Hon. Jafar will be remembered as a committed legislator who served both his constituency and the state with diligence and an unwavering commitment to public good,” Professor Sulaiman states.
