The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has congratulated the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on his 67th birthday, describing him as an exemplary leader and architect of modern Bauchi.

In a statement issued on Monday, October 6, 2025, by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, the NILDS DG commends Governor Mohammed’s life of public service and unwavering dedication to nation-building.

“Senator Bala Mohammed’s remarkable journey reflects a legacy of selfless service and genuine commitment to humanity. His leadership continues to inspire hope and transformation in Bauchi State and beyond,” Professor Sulaiman said.

He noted that the governor’s leadership record spanning his time as Senator, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and now Governor of Bauchi State, demonstrates an enduring passion for uplifting the downtrodden and advancing development.

Professor Sulaiman, who described the governor as his “big brother, bosom friend, and co-minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan,” praised his transformational leadership, which has significantly improved infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and socio-economic development across Bauchi.

“His inspirational leadership continues to redefine Bauchi’s development narrative and serves as a model of effective governance,” he added.

The NILDS DG prayed for Governor Mohammed’s continued health, wisdom, and strength as he leads Bauchi State and contributes to Nigeria’s progress.

“May Allah grant him long life, sound health, and more fruitful years in service to Nigeria and humanity,” Sulaiman prayed.
