The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has emphasized the importance of sustaining the spiritual benefits of Ramadan beyond the fasting period. He underscored that the conclusion of Ramadan should not mark the end of acts of worship (Ibadah).
In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, to commemorate Eid-el-Fitr, Professor Sulaiman urged Muslims worldwide to remain steadfast in their devotion and ethical conduct.
He cautioned against reverting to social vices that were abstained from during the 30 days of fasting, calling for continued moral discipline and righteousness.
Expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the faithful the opportunity to witness the beginning and end of the holy month, Professor Sulaiman encouraged Muslims to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with dignity, moderation, and a spirit of brotherhood, particularly by extending support to the less privileged.
Additionally, he offered prayers for divine protection and guidance for leaders at all levels and sought God’s intervention in overcoming the nation’s challenges.
