The Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, says the Institute will ensure fairness and improved conditions of service for all staff.
A statement by the Media Adviser to the DG NILDS Mohammed Abdulkadri, says he gave the assurance in Abuja on Friday, August 8, when a seven-member committee formally presented a reviewed condition of service to the Institute.
According to the statement, the committee, chaired by former National Assembly Commission Commissioner, Dr Hakeem Olabode Akamo, was inaugurated in May and completed within three months.
It says Professor Sulaiman described the report as a “guiding compass” for staff welfare and career progression, incorporating new innovations, departmental expansion, and measures to end stagnation in the civil service.
The statement says, the document was developed in line with statutory provisions for a four-year review cycle, and assured that its recommendations would be carefully studied and implemented, subject to approval by the Governing Council.
It however, commend the committee for its dedication, saying the revised framework will uplift the Institute and benefit all staff.
