The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has reiterated the institute’s commitment to achieving its corporate goals while maintaining zero tolerance for inefficiency.
This was emphasized at the opening of a two-day capacity-building workshop for NILDS non-academic senior staff, organized in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, in Abuja.
Professor Sulaiman, said the workshop aims to enhance staff competencies in administration, ICT, communication, and legislative support and warned against absenteeism, lateness, and complacency at work place.
According to a release issued by the Media Adviser to the DG NILDS, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Prof Sulaiman urged participants to fully engage with the training ahead of an induction program scheduled for early 2025.
In a remark, NILDS Director of Administration and Human Resources Aminu Bello Dukku, expressed gratitude to Professor Sulaiman for his unwavering support for staff welfare and professional development.
The event which featured presentation from top dignitaries had 48 participants for the training.
DG Lauds Ex President Jonathan on Birthday
Meanwhile, The Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, has praised former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on his birthday, describing him as a selfless leader.
Professor Sulaiman, who served as Minister of National Planning during Dr. Jonathan’s presidency, joined Nigerians both at home and abroad in celebrating the former president.
In a statement Professor Sulaiman, acknowledges the privilege of working with Dr. Jonathan during a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s history and expressed prayers for his continued service to Nigeria, Africa, and the global community.
