NSC DG, NFF President Lead Top Dignitaries to NNL Awards

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau, are leading the distinguished guests for the NNL November Awards.

The November 2025/2026 edition of the NNL/PROSTAR INT’L/SPORTLIGHT will take place on 16 December 2025 in Abuja

It will mark the first edition of the award series in the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Designed to honour excellence across the league, the ceremony will also feature top sports personalities, including Director General of the National Institute for Sports, Comrade Philip Shaibu; veteran broadcaster Mainasara Ilo; and Super Eagles legend Daniel Amokachi, among several others.

This month’s awardees represent standout performers whose contributions have illuminated recent NNL fixtures:

Award Recipients

Highest Goal Scorer: Michael Adegbite (Crown FC) — 3 goals in 2 matches, including a superb brace.

Most Valuable Player (MVP): Michael Adegbite (Crown FC) — Rewarded for consistent creativity and influence.

Best Referee: Abdulwahab Jibrin — Recognised for exceptional professionalism and integrity.

Best Goalkeeper: Majayogbe Muyiwa (Crown FC) — Celebrated for crucial saves and commanding presence.

Best Coach: Najeeb Mabo (Doma United FC) — Honoured for tactical brilliance and team discipline.

Best Goal: Ogonyi Matthew Okpahe (Doma United FC) — Awarded for a stunning Match Day 3 strike against ABS FC.

Best Behaved Team: Mighty Jets of Jos.
