The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released call-up letters for its 2026 Batch A Stream 1 orientation exercise, confirming deployment arrangements for prospective corps members.

In a statement on its official X handle on Monday, the NYSC said some candidates posted to Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) would attend orientation camps in neighbouring states due to limited camp capacity.

Those deployed to Lagos may report to camps in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, or Osun, while some posted to the FCT will attend camps in Kaduna, Niger, or Nasarawa.

The scheme noted that “only about 40 per cent of registered Prospective Corps Members can be accommodated for the upcoming orientation programme.” It also advised all candidates to complete required documentation ahead of arrival and cautioned against travelling at night.

The NYSC warned that candidates with inconsistencies in their records would not be registered, stating: “Prospective Corps Members with discrepancies in the Date of Graduation on their call-up letters and the date on their Statement of Results will not be registered in the Orientation Camp.”

Affected individuals are advised to resolve such issues with their Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) before reporting.

Guidelines were also provided for married female prospective corps members. Those not posted to their husband’s state of residence are to report to the nearest camp, while applicants seeking concessional posting on marital grounds must submit their marriage certificate, husband’s identification, and a letter confirming the husband’s place of domicile.
