Otunba Adekunle Ojora, a highly respected traditional titleholder and boardroom expert, has passed away at the age of 93.
He joined his ancestors in the early hours of Wednesday, June 13, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in journalism, public service, politics, and corporate governance.
Born on January 13, 1932, Otunba Ojora had a distinguished career spanning over five decades.
He was Chairman of AGIP Nigeria Limited from 1971 to 2002 and held key positions in various companies, including WEMABOD, Nigerian National Shipping Line, and NCR Nigeria.
A trailblazer in Nigerian corporate history, Otunba Ojora was a major investor and entrepreneur with interests in several companies.
He was also deeply rooted in tradition, holding titles such as Otunba of Lagos, Lisa of Ife, and Olori Omo Oba of Lagos.
He is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojuolape, and children, including Toyin Saraki, wife of former Senate President Bukola Saraki. Burial arrangements will be announced shortly.
