The PENGASSAN Foundation has completed the refurbishment of LEA Primary School, Tukuruwa, in Kwali Area Council, Abuja, in just three weeks.

Two classroom blocks, toilets, and the school’s borehole were renovated, while 200 desks, 800 exercise books, and 200 school bags were donated to pupils.

At the commissioning on Tuesday, PENGASSAN President, Comrade Festus Osifo, said the foundation, established two years ago, aims to support vulnerable Nigerians.

He described the intervention at the school as one of the foundation’s most significant initiatives. “The project covered the refurbishment of two classroom blocks and toilets, renovation of the school’s borehole, and the donation of 200 desks, 800 exercise books, and 200 school bags to pupils.”

He also reflected on the broader impact of the foundation’s work. “We have done a lot of interventions across the country, from helping the poorest of the poor in general hospitals to assisting communities affected by insecurity in Benue State”.

“Today, we are extremely excited to be part of history. If you look at our little brothers and sisters here, you will see the leaders of tomorrow,” he stated.

Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya, commended the initiative, promising to improve the school’s access road and strengthen security for pupils.

“What PENGASSAN has done is an addition of value to my political career in Kwali Area Council. I will also push for perimeter fencing and provide security to ensure the safety of the children,” Chiya said.

Chairman of the PENGASSAN Foundation, Owan David, promised that the foundation will continue to provide essential infrastructure and welfare projects to improve lives of the vulnerable.

Parents, pupils, and community leaders attending the ceremony expressed gratitude to the foundation for making learning safer and more conducive for children.
