President Tinubu Reconstitutes Securities Tribunal With 12 Appointees

Chairman, Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST), Amos Isaac Azi, Esq.

President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST) with the renewal of appointment of the Chairman and the inauguration of 12 new members.

The announcement in a statement issued on Sunday by Maria Anodere, Acting Head of Corporate Affairs Department of the IST, said the move is based on the recommendation of the Minister of State for Finance pursuant to Sections 315 and 319 (2) of the Investments and Securities Act 2025.

The Presidency said the reconstitution of the tribunal is aimed at strengthening its capacity to deliver justice, resolve disputes in record time, and boost confidence in Nigeria’s capital market.

The appointees include:

* Amos Isaac Azi, Esq. – Chairman

* Gboyega Oyekanmi – Member

* Felix Onwuneme – Member

* Shehu Lawal Mandiya – Member

* Robert Uchenna Okwuego – Member

* Osaze Ize–Iyamu – Member

* Ummahani Ahmad Amin – Member

* Ali Sadiq Mohammed – Member

* Olatunde M. Amolegbe – Member

* Udegbulam Athanatius Chukwuemeka – Member

* Orya Ungwaga Roberts – Member

* Kamarudee Oladosu – Member

Established as a specialized adjudicatory body for capital market transactions, the IST is mandated to promote fairness, transparency, and integrity in Nigeria’s financial system through timely resolution of investment and securities disputes.
