At the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, Nigerian music sensation Tems set the global stage ablaze with a breathtaking performance that blended culture, sport, and entertainment at the MetLife Stadium. Joined by Doja Cat, J Balvin, and surprise guests Coldplay and Emmanuel Kelly, the 15-minute show highlighted the cultural reach of the tournament and FIFA’s growing partnership with Global Citizen.
Tems performed her Grammy-winning track “Love Me JeJe,” bringing African pride and soul to over 81,000 live fans and millions of global viewers. J Balvin kicked off the set with “Mi Gente,” while Doja Cat electrified the crowd with her feminist anthem “Woman.” Coldplay’s emotional “A Sky Full of Stars” closed the performance, drawing applause across the stadium.
While the musical showcase captured hearts, the football drama was equally explosive. Chelsea FC defeated Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3-0, with Cole Palmer scoring twice and assisting Joao Pedro, making them the first-ever champions of FIFA’s 32-team Club World Cup. PSG’s João Neves was sent off late in the game, sealing their fate.
The grand finale — graced by high-profile attendees including former U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump — reinforced football’s status as a unifying global platform where sport, music, and politics converge.
