Tinubu Hails NILDS DG, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, at 60

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, on his 60th birthday.

In a message released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Professor Sulaiman for his long and distinguished career in academia and public service.

President Tinubu highlighted the NILDS DG’s notable contributions as a former Minister of National Planning, Deputy Chairman of the National Planning Commission, and currently as the head of NILDS — where he has been instrumental in strengthening legislative capacity and promoting democratic governance in Nigeria.

He also lauded Professor Sulaiman’s dedication to research, teaching, and policy development, as well as his efforts in building NILDS into a centre of excellence for legislative studies and democratic development across Nigeria and West Africa.

President Tinubu wished the distinguished scholar good health, wisdom, and continued success in his service to the nation.
