Tinubu Visits Borno, Others for Projects, Condolence

President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Saturday for official visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States

This is contained in a statement issued on Friday Dec 19, by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement President Tinubu will commission key projects In Borno State, executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum, alongside initiatives undertaken by the Federal Government.

The President is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Maiduguri, the President will proceed to Bauchi State for a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, a revered leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, passed away on November 27.

It states that President Tinubu will thereafter travel to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.

While in Lagos, the President is expected to attend several official and cultural engagements, including the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square.

The festival will honour notable personalities, including the President’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State Governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
