Police Commissioner Launches Weapon and Riot Control Training for FCT Officers Democracy Radio

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development in the area councils of the FCT.
He made this known on Tuesday during the commissioning of the newly constructed Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo Road in Kwali Area Council.
The 11-kilometer road, which is the first in the community to feature streetlights, is expected to improve safety, accessibility, and overall convenience for residents.
The project marks a significant step in addressing the infrastructure needs of the Kwali community, with Wike emphasizing that his administration prioritizes projects that directly impact the lives of citizens.
“This road is not just an infrastructure project, it is a game changer for the people of Kwali.
“It is the first road in this area to have streetlights, and this will ensure the safety and comfort of residents who use it” Wike stated.
The minister also relayed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu to sustained development in the area, highlighting ongoing projects such as the construction of police stations.
He urged residents to remain patient as the projects are being completed, assuring them that the government remains dedicated to fulfilling its promises.
Wike noted that the newly completed road will not only ease mobility but also boost economic activities and enhance the overall quality of life of the people of Kwali.
The commissioning of the Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo Road is seen as a significant milestone in the FCT’s development agenda, showcasing the administration’s resolve to bring impactful change to local communities.
On their part, residents applauded the project, expressing optimism that it will spur further growth and development in the area.
